SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Police say a Spartanburg woman called on her young children to obstruct officers as they tried to arrest her.
The Spartanburg Herald-Journal reported Friday that Krystal Elizabeth Adderley was charged with two counts of resisting arrest, criminal domestic violence, public disorderly conduct, breach of peace, and damaging property.
A Spartanburg Public Safety report says the 29-year-old mother intoxicated and angry late Thursday night as she scuffled with officers responding to a report of a domestic disturbance, breaking one officer’s glasses. Adderley’s four children — ages 1, 4, 8 and 10 — latched onto her legs as officers tried to arrest her for assaulting her live-in boyfriend.
According to police the youngest child was naked and being carried by an older sibling. The next youngest child wore only underwear.
